“I’m white and I’m sorry.”
the most adorable trio that i have ever come across! ukulele, banjo, kazoo.. you name it and they’ve probably incorporated it into their music. with influences from and similar sounds to metronomy and other similar artists, WE WERE EVERGREEN are set to be big! pretty paris born fabienne is the only female in the band and she’s joined by michael and william, the two attractive males. i was lucky enough to see them last week when they performed at the sanctuary in barrow-in-furness (awesome new music venue yay) alongside king charles. the band currently have one album which was released in 2010 and i suggest that you all give it a listen. their home-made style music videos are cute too, give them a watch on youtube - my favourite is ‘penguins & moonboots’. the band are currently part of the way through a tour with plenty of dates and locations still coming up. if you listen to them and like their style (which you WILL), i would strongly advise getting yourself along to one of their upcoming gigs (see photo 1 for details). not only are they great musicians, they are also lovely genuine people and this is shown through their performances. they are definitely up there as one of my favourite bands at the moment and i bet they’ll quickly become one of yours too :-)

Oh my, Emma Lee Moss & Tim Wheeler of Ash collaborating together for a Chrismas album!
Not only that but Euan Hinshelwood will be on guitar and Matt Tong from Bloc Party on drums along with backing from a string orchestra led by a film composer.
The album will be 9 original songs plus 1 Phil Spector cover.
The first track ‘Christmas Day’ can be downloaded free here, I think i’m going to hold off for now as it’s far to early to be listening to Christmas songs. It will get me in the mood for Christmas yet it’s still so far away. Come December 1st I will most definitely be listening to this along with She & Him’s festive release.
The album is release on November 21st on Infectious Records.
Holy Handgrenades Batman! this is awesome news. It’s going to be a very musical Christmas!
Tahiti 80 in Manila!!!
To celebrate their 10th anniversary Terno Recordings brought Tahiti 80 to perform here in Manila last Friday at the Alphaland Southgate. I wasn’t really there to take photos, but you know me I couldn’t help not doing so especially when the event has such a fun vibe.
